In this version, we have changed the name of "Beyond Fear" to "Color Theory". We dared to believe that race and the devastating effects of racism could be healed. We asked our readers to consider that the concept of "race" is an illusion. We have spent years in conversation with many people sharing our view that the concept of race does not exist. We had the audacity to believe that we are all human beings and that we are different, only the color of our skin, our language and our culture. We learned very quickly that the world was not ready to explore the concept of color, language or culture; in 1998 when our book, "Beyond Fear" was published. The idea that race is an illusion that we made up is an idea that we the people have chosen not to examine - and accept. In 1998, Bill Clinton, the President of the United States of America called for a dialogue on race. We only engaged in the dialogue superficially. In 2008 the citizens of the United States elected Barack Obama the first President of color to lead what many consider the most powerful Nation in the world. The citizens of the United States expressed that the United States was in a post-racial world. However, we continued to hold our monthly Racial Healing Circles, hoping that indeed we were in a post-racial world. Then in 2016 the Citizens of the United States of America elected Donald Trump to be the President and his constituency began to express ideas grounded in racism, fear and division. The last Wednesday of November, 2016 - the Racial Healing Circle that we had been holding monthly for the past 30 years was packed. Most participants' came to tell their story about their inability to move beyond fear, due to their own belief in fear and division.

| Author: Aeeshah Clottey, Kokomon Clottey

| Publisher: Bookwhip Company

| Publication Date: Jul 15, 2019

| Number of Pages: 226 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1950580415

| ISBN-13: 9781950580415

Compassionate Community Work 10th Anniversary Edition: An Introductory Course on Christlike Community Work
An easy-to-use introductory textbook, the fruit of practical experience over many years as a community worker. They are ours: we experience and report crimes and have a right to access and understand their official record. It should not take any particular expertise to get a grasp on what we should make of the figures and graphs that the South African Police Service produces every year. Yet crime, its measurement and control, are as much political matters as they are technocratic. While there is much that remains open to interpretation and discussion, there are some things that we should all be able to agree on, based on a sober reading of the evidence. As crime is a serious issue in South Africa, knowing what the official sources say is critical for productive debates on what we can do to make our country safer. A Citizen's Guide to Crime Trends in South Africa provides a basis on which to understand the statistics in a manner that is accessible to the general public. Each chapter challenges a set of oft-repeated assumptions about how bad crime is, where it occurs, and who its victims are. It also demonstrates how and why crime statistics need to be matched with other forms of research, including criminal justice data, in order to produce a fuller account of what we are faced with.

| Author: Anine Kriegler, Mark Shaw

| Publisher: Jonathan Ball Publishers

| Publication Date: Jun 03, 2016

| Number of Pages: 226 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1868427226

| ISBN-13: 9781868427222

Anne S Walker grew up in the dormitories of a boarding school in the suburbs of Melbourne. Her initial career was as an early childhood teacher, then she sailed to England and worked as a community activist in London. Accepting an offer to work in Fiji, she became deeply involved for 11 years in early childhood education, women’s human rights, and public affairs advocacy, including the fight against nuclear testing in the Pacific. Those years led her to undertake graduate study in development communications in the USA, following which she was asked to help establish the International Women’s Tribune Centre in New York. This thrust her into the centre of a global campaign for women’s human rights that spanned the next three decades. From the IWTC headquarters opposite the United Nations, Anne and her colleagues met and worked alongside women from every world region on issues affecting their lives and the lives of their communities. Anne and the IWTC were involved in the historic series of UN world conferences on women held in various countries from 1975 to 1995. As well as writing of her work and the role of the IWTC in those momentous decades, Anne tells the powerful stories of some of the women she met at meetings, workshops and other events in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, the Caribbean and Latin America. She also tells of witnessing and living through some of the toughest times in New York’s history, from the moments when planes crashed into the World Trade Centre towers on September 11, 2001. CLARIN is a European research infrastructure for humanities and social science researchers that work with natural language data. This book introduces the CLARIN infrastructure, describes various aspects of the technical implementation of the infrastructure, and introduces data, applications and software services created in the Low Countries for a wide variety of humanities disciplines. These enable researchers to accelerate their research activities and to base their conclusions on a much larger and richer empirical base than was possible before, thus providing a basis for carrying out groundbreaking research in which old questions can be investigated in new ways and new questions can be raised and investigated for the first time. Given CLARIN's focus on language data, linguistics and particularly syntax are prominently present. However, other humanities disciplines that work with natural language data such as history, literary studies, religion studies, media studies, political studies, and philosophy are represented as well. The book is a must read for humanities scholars and students who want to understand and use the potential that the Digital Humanities offer, as well as for computer scientists and developers of research infrastructures, in particular for researchers working on the CLARIN infrastructure in other countries.

| Author: Arjan van Hessen, Jan Odijk, Jan Odijk

| Publisher: Ubiquity Press

| Publication Date: Dec 28, 2017

| Number of Pages: 414 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Hardcover

| ISBN-10: 1911529242

| ISBN-13: 9781911529248

Africa’s Brain Power is a collection of editorial entries penned by AfricaOnline’s Executive Editor between March 2016 and December 2017. Azumah Ring Professor Nelson in the Social History of Ghanaian Boxingexplores the social history of boxing in Ghana and its interesting nexus with the biography of Azumah Nelson, unquestionably Ghanas most celebrated boxer. The book posits that sports constitute more than mere games that people play. They are endowed with enormous political, cultural, economic and social power that can influence peoples lives in various ways. Boxing is no cakewalk! interrogates the social meaning and impact of boxing within the colonial and postcolonial milieux of popular culture in Ghana. Consequently, it reconsiders the prevailing conception of boxing as adversative to enlightened human culture by arguing that it is a positive formulator of individual and national identities. The historicising of sports and the lives of sportspersons in Ghana provides an eloquent backdrop for an understanding of the past social dynamics and their effect in the present. The books analytical narrative offers an intellectual contribution to the promising areas of social and cultural history in Ghanas historiography and the scholarly discourse on identity formation and social empowerment through the popular culture of sports.

| Author: Botchway, De-Valera NYM

| Publisher: NISC (Pty) Ltd

| Publication Date: Jul 12, 2019

| Number of Pages: 286 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1920033564

| ISBN-13: 9781920033569

Brenna Womer's debut collection Atypical Cells of Undetermined Significance is a book of creative nonfiction, poetry, and hybrid work that begins on an exam-room table and ends at the register of a 7-Eleven. This book offers a unique documentation of the architecture of the different styles of ceremonial houses according to region, their mode of construction and the impressive facade paintings. It goes on to explain the social networks responsible for the construction and main- tenance of such ceremonial houses; a crucial agent of social formation. The integrative and consolidating force that emanated from a ceremonial house and the ritual arena associated with it, not only shaped social life in the village but also defined the communion between humans, clan ancestors and mythical creative forces. Up to the late 1980s, knowledge concerning the construction and meaning of ceremonial houses was passed on to the next generation by means of practice (learning by doing). However, since then the Abelam have converted to Christianity and turned their backs on traditional belief and knowledge: they no longer build ceremonial houses, initiations are a matter of the past, and pigs, domesticated as well as semi-wild, which used to be focal to religious life in earlier days have been discarded. All this has changed the face of Abelam culture radically and the knowledge concerning the construction of ceremonial houses is now all but lost. The author presents an extensive description and analysis of Abelam society at a time when the people were still building ceremonial houses, staging initiations and sacrificing pigs. The magnificent edifices constituted the spatial, social and religious pivot of Abelam culture. This work presents a cultural record of what on longer exists. An essential book for all architects and anthropologists interested in traditional methods and style.

| Author: Brigitta Hauser-Schublin

| Publisher: Grawford House

| Publication Date: Jun 25, 2019

| Number of Pages: 290 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1863333444

| ISBN-13: 9781863333443

Gender has now become a pervasive topic in the humanities and social sciences. Yet despite its familiarity within universities and colleges, some have argued that the radical debates which first characterized gender studies have become ghettoized or marginalized - so that gender no longer makes the impact on creative thinking and ideas that it once did. Brooke Holmes here rescues ancient ideas about sex and gender in order precisely to reinvigorate contemporary debate. She argues that much writing on gender in the classical age fails to place those ancient ideas within their proper historical contexts. As a result, the full transformational force of that thinking is often overlooked. In this short, lively book, the author offers a sophisticated and historically rounded reading of gender in antiquity in order to map out the future of contemporary gender studies. By re-examining ancient notions of sexual difference, bodies, culture, and identity, Holmes shows that Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, Epicureans and others force us to reassess what is at stake in present-day discussions about gender. The ancient world thus offers a vital resource for modern gender theory.

| Author: Brooke Holmes

| Publisher: \\N

| Publication Date: Jan 10, 2019

| Number of Pages: NA pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1845119290

| ISBN-13: 9781845119294

Agenda 2019 Soy Capaz Soy Fuerte Soy Invencible Soy Mujer: Agenda Mensual y Semanal + Organizador I Cubierta con tema de Feminista I Enero 2019 a Diciembre 2019 6 x 9in (Spanish Edition)
Nuestra nueva Agenda 2019 de Feminista ya est aqu! With her marriage to a Nigerian electrical engineer, senior manager in the country's power industry, she became part of his family, clan, and village. She learned to speak the Igbo language and not only adapted to, but adopted, some of the customs of his people. In this intimate portrayal of family members, she reveals the secrets of the ties that bind her to his community. Through the striking accounts of her husbands' parents in their youth and with nods to customs from other tribes and countries, she paints an unforgettable picture of African life in times past. She evokes the atmosphere of the village market, the religious rituals, and the ceremonies that accompany life's major events. The author also reveals the challenges between the Christianity adopted by her husband's family and the traditions they sometimes abandon and sometimes preserve. The reader is brought into an African village with its richness of music, dance, ritual, and mystery. Throughout the book, the importance of family is stressed. She demonstrates the importance of showing respect for elders, honoring the ancestors, and caring for children communally. She contrasts this sense of community to the individualism experienced by people in the West. With her vivid descriptions of Igbo names and religious beliefs, she adds to the readers' understanding of an African society. How she found her own community is revealed in the last chapters of this intriguing book. She has taken her message of the importance of family and community to many venues. Four sermons she has presented are included in the appendix. Suggested discussion questions for book groups are also provided.

| Author: Catherine Onyemelukwe

| Publisher: Peace Corps Writers

| Publication Date: Nov 26, 2018

| Number of Pages: 251 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1935925962

| ISBN-13: 9781935925965

Communicating Covid-19: Everyday Life, Digital Capitalism, and Conspiracy Theories in Pandemic Times (Societynow)
Communicating COVID-19 analyses the changes of everyday communication in the COVID-19 crisis. First, the report takes issue with the perception that South Africans are inexperienced and unmotivated participants in the informal economy. Many have years of experience and have successfully grown their businesses. Second, it contests the view that refugees enjoy a competitive advantage because they come to South Africa with inherent talent and already honed skills. On the contrary, over 80% of those surveyed had no prior informal sector experience and learned their skills on the job and after coming to South Africa. Third, the report shows that there is fierce competition in the urban informal sector between and within the two groups. However, business competition between refugees and South Africans is mitigated by the fact that they tend to dominate different sections of the informal economy with South Africans dominant in the food sector and refugees in the household products and personal services sectors. Finally, the report takes issue with recent arguments that all informal sector businesses are equally at risk from robbery, extortion and other crimes. It shows that South Africans are affected but that refugees are far more vulnerable than their South African counterparts. The report therefore confirms that xenophobia and xenophobic violence are major threats to refugees seeking a livelihood in the informal sector, especially if they venture into informal settlements.

| Author: Crush, Jonathan, Tawodzera, Godfrey

| Publisher: Southern African Migration Programme

| Publication Date: Sep 29, 2017

| Number of Pages: 54 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1920596380

| ISBN-13: 9781920596385

The mushrooming of human knowledge has given rise in our schools and universities, particularly in our arts faculties, to a post-modern despair of ever finding objective truth, spawning a nebula of petty and unrelated subjects driven by the ephemeral fancies of the day. Against Imprisonment includes topics such as The Changing Face of the Prison, justifications of punishment, prison violence and the shortcomings of prisons and mega-prisons. Very much against the current political obsession with increasing incarceration this book is a wake-up call for all those who feel the use of imprisonment is failing to achieve a reduction in crime. Provides a compelling analysis of the failings of imprisonment. Sheds new light on this pressing topic. Explains why prisons do not work for most offenders. From the Foreword Scott systematically dismantles widely-accepted justifications for punishment on ethical, political, philosophical and practical grounds, forcefully demonstrating that the only clear purpose of imprisonment is the infliction of pain and suffering on all those who come into contact with the prison place, whether as detainees or staff. He provides us with fascinating glimpsesinto what he describes as modern-day cathedrals of pain. Turning the utopian myth that prison works on its head, he invites us to imagine real utopian non-penal alternatives to punishment that respect human dignity and deliver genuine social justice.' Emma Bell

| Author: David Scott, Emma Bell

| Publisher: Waterside Press

| Publication Date: Feb 28, 2018

| Number of Pages: 272 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1909976547

| ISBN-13: 9781909976542

In this book, this author utilizes various concepts, theories, analytical methods, techniques, and practical knowledge and expertise propounded or espoused by scholars and experts with differing worldviews that tend to facilitate the understanding of diversity and diversity management in the 'global village.' Some of the perspectives are based on philosophical, ideological, and cultural orientations of scholars, statesmen, and experts from the various geopolitical regions of the world. Some of the discussion may evoke some controversial thought processes that are considered necessary for healthy debate on the issues of diversity and diversity management from interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary perspectives. However, there is more emphasis on global and interdisciplinary perspectives in the discussion of diversity and diversity management in this book. The purpose of this book is to refocus attention on the issues of diversity and diversity management but from global and interdisciplinary perspectives. The book contributes to the continuing discourse on diversity and diversity management by presenting some conventional and less controversial theories and models, as well as some traditionally controversial ones for managing diversity in the workplace in particular, and in society in general. Whereas much has been written in the past about the debate over which strategies are best for managing diversity, new study dimensions in the era of globalization of business, economic, political, and socio-cultural relations now require the revisiting of the issues of diversity and diversity management from global and interdisciplinary perspectives. Existing published research on diversity management does not focus on both the global and interdisciplinary perspectives.

| Author: Dennis Arekpita Ogirri Ph. This book explores the relationship between African Americans, descendants of those Africans brought to America as slaves, and migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, who have come to the United States of America voluntarily, mainly since the 1990s. Members of these groups have both a great deal in common and much that separates them, largely hidden in their assumptions about, and attitudes towards, each other. In a work grounded in extensive fieldwork Bondarenko and his research team interviewed African Americans, and migrants from twenty-three African States and five Caribbean nations, as well as non-black Americans involved with African Americans and African migrants. Seeking a wide range of perspectives, from different ages, classes and levels of education, they explored the historically rooted mutual images of African Americans and contemporary African migrants, so as to understand how these images influence the relationship between them. In particular, they examined conceptions of 'black history' as a common history of all people and nations with roots in Africa. What emerges is a complex picture. While collective historical memory of oppression forges solidarity, lack of knowledge of each other's history can create distance between communities. African migrants tend to define their identities not by race, but on the basis of multiple layers of national, ethnic, religious and linguistic affinities (of which African Americans are often unaware). For African Americans, however, although national and regional identities are important, it is above all race that is the defining factor. While drawing on wider themes from anthropology and African studies, this in-depth study on a little-researched subject allows valuable new understandings of contemporary American society.

| Author: Dmitri Bondarenko

| Publisher: Sean Kingston Publishing

| Publication Date: Sep 02, 2019

| Number of Pages: 184 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Hardcover

| ISBN-10: 1912385007

| ISBN-13: 9781912385003

African Studies in Russia: Works of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yearbook 2014-2016
The publication is the latest in the African Studies in Russia series of compilations and contains full articles and annotations of the most important from the point of view of editors works of Russian Africanists over a certain period. Tutti i genitori desiderano per il proprio figlio ogni bene e lo vogliono crescere ed educare in un ambiente sicuro dove i pericoli vengono comunque tenuti il pi possibile sotto controllo. Parole & probation officers must deal with such individuals on a frequent basis. In this comprehensive guidebook, Ellis Amdur and Alan Pelton offer parole and probation officers a comprehensive set of strategies to keep themselves as well as the general public safe, while functioning at the highest level of professionalism. The 1st section of this book offers an overview of the role of community corrections in dealing with the mentally ill and/or substance abusing offender. The 2nd section is tactical: everything from field safety and tactical planning on one side, to honing your intuition to pick up early signs of danger on the other. In the 3rd section of the book, the authors focus on us: what we can do to achieve a state of integrity and powerful calm. Rather than abstract pronouncements, they offer specific strategies, including a method of breathing for the purpose of maintaining one';s own center in crisis situations. They then move on to the heart of the book, discussing specific behaviors ranging from confusion and obsessive concerns to psychosis, mania and acute disorganization. In one very important section, they discuss interactions with opportunistic and manipulative individuals (at worst, those referred to as psychopaths), people who present a danger to the psychological and physical well-being of anyone with whom they come in contact. They then move on to a discussion of aggression, whether directed at the parole or probation officer or others. There is a specific section set aside on dealing with aggressive youthful offenders. Amdur and Pelton discuss how to de-escalate aggressive and chaotic individuals once a crisis is in play. The authors elucidate the various motivations that drive aggression and further delineate the different types of aggression that result. De-escalation tactics are specific; one learns how to immediately recognize what mode of aggression the person is displaying, and then, one can quickly and effectively implement the de-escalation tactics that are best suited to deal with the aggression one is facing.

| Author: Ellis Amdur, Alan Pelton

| Publisher: Edgework: Crisis Intervention Resources Pllc

| Publication Date: May 06, 2019

| Number of Pages: 322 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Hardcover

| ISBN-10: 1950678024

| ISBN-13: 9781950678020

Antiracism Inc. considers new ways of struggling toward racial justice in a world that constantly steals and misuses radical ideas and practices. These collectivities seek to transform social structures and establish a new social warrant guided by what W.E.B. Too many of these children will die, as the system that is supposed to protect them fails to keep them safe. These children are a disenfranchised minority--abused by their parents and by the system, sentencing them to a lifetime of suffering. This book provides a rare insider's view of the child welfare system. It takes an in-depth look at the effects on the children under its care, those who are mandated to help, and the homes in which they are placed. Ours is a broken system that often creates long-lasting, negative consequences for the children, families, and professionals who are a part of it. Author Gary Reece has been involved with hundreds of children over the past ten years as a psychologist and foster care social worker. He has seen and felt their pain and met their abusers. He's gone to court and testified on their behalf. He has also worked closely with their surrogate families and the social workers who manage their cases. By examining the system and how it affects the lives of children who have the misfortune to become embroiled in it, perhaps key problems, issues, and solutions will become evident to the rest of the population.

| Author: Gary W Reece

| Publisher: Mulberry Books

| Publication Date: Aug 14, 2019

| Number of Pages: 354 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1950850552

| ISBN-13: 9781950850556

Body Language Secrets: A Guide to Mastering the Art of Nonverbal Communication using Psychological Techniques, Body Language Signals and Social Skills
Do you ever wonder what other people are thinking? Do you wish you could figure out what's going on inside someone else's head? Then Read Below. Since ancient times, we have used our body language to communicate, conveying our emotions and thoughts to those around us. Each person out there has a different body language, encompassing not only facial expressions but also body postures and gestures. Even eye movement is considered as part of the non-verbal communication, being closely followed by touch and using one's personal space. 80% of human communication is actually non-verbal. Some experts argue it may even be more. Body language is considered an integral element of non-verbal communication, being used, consciously or unconsciously, to interact with other people. It is often said that body language will serve to complement verbal communication. Through our gestures, postures and expressions, we are actually transmitting a lot of information about ourselves to the interlocutor. It is clear that the body language can make the difference between a successful interaction and one that is doomed to fail from the start. Basically, the information transmitted through non-verbal means, will ensure proper interaction between two or more people. However, due to cultural differences and other influencing factors, it is important to state that body language can sometimes lead to confusion or a state of ambiguity. One has to be able to use his/her body language to his/her own advantage, working at the same time to decipher the non-verbal information transmitted by the other person with utmost accuracy. In the end, by mastering the art of non-verbal communication, you will have more successful interactions with other people; reducing the risk of misunderstandings, confusion and social awkwardness. For an inside look into Mormon schismatic groups, check out this transcript of our 2 hour interview!

| Author: Gospel Tangents Interview, Rick Bennett

| Publisher: Independently published

| Publication Date: Nov 22, 2017

| Number of Pages: 82 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1973360802

| ISBN-13: 9781973360803

Deep down we don't quite understand why humanity has been so systemically deprived from living in a cleverly designed civilised world. For a species that can land a spacecraft on a soaring asteroid and develop extraordinarily lethal weaponry, why is it that humanity has failed to create a cohesive, functioning and equitable social world? The key focus of investigation in this book is how we are mentally shaped in different social settings and conditioned by our conventional educational systems to live the way we do. There are psychological, social and political lenses adopted by the author to help the reader to recognise the current human challenges from a wider and more holistic social perspective. The reader is given a unique opportunity to identify their life through the viewpoint of a child's eyes as they develop within our current Western social system. This experience enables the reader to objectively reflect on their unfolding journey of mental development and also helps him/her to experience, once again, the psychological power of given social influences and conditioning upon impressionable young minds. Finally, the reader is inspired to rely on his/ her naturally given intelligence and explore possibilities that can help create a well-constructed 21st century civilised social architecture to amicably sustain and support our collective long-term harmonious existence. Deeper insights into our collective social challenges and solutions: Family upbringing Systemic school conditioning Social world contests and pressures Disillusionments with the social systems Root causes of the current social chaos Finding intelligent solutions to the impending social crises. "

| Author: Hamid Soltani

| Publisher: Vivid Publishing

| Publication Date: May 31, 2016

| Number of Pages: 268 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1925515095

| ISBN-13: 9781925515091

It's about time we listen and confront the man in the mirror---to make a change for humanity's greater good. S., specifically, African-American serial killers and the lack of recognition neglects to recognize the risks and harm done to their victims and potential victims, most of whom are African-American women and children. The flawed stereotypes surrounding our perceptions of serial killers are: (1) that the killing is almost always a White male, (2) that African-American men rarely, if ever, commit serial murder and (3) that those who commit serial murder are either psychologically complex or significantly intelligent to be able to escape capture/arrest. Those myths are biased and prejudicial to the victims. Victims of African-American serial killers, predominantly African-American women, and children, are further victimized when the violence against them is ignored or underreported. The media misrepresentations and ineffective investigations by law enforcement further deny them justice and further places them in harm's way. A fascinating look into the mind of one of America's first serial killers. Born as Herman Webster Mudgett, H. H. Holmes was a horrific killer featured in Erik Larson's popular book, The Devil in the White City. Holmes built a three story 'Murder Castle' in Chicago in the late 1800s with death on his mind. A doctor by trade, Holmes lured unsuspecting victims into secret rooms, vaults and gas chambers and made use of a dissection table in his basement. He preyed on travelers that came to Chicago for the World Columbian Exposition in 1893 by advertising rooms for rent and offering employment opportunities. No doubt about it, Holmes earned despicable nicknames such as Arch Fiend, Butcher, Modern Bluebeard, Swindler, and Moral Degenerate. Holmes was a monster in disguise as a doctor, a perfect ruse to lure his victims. After all, who would not trust a doctor? Learn what Holmes personality and thought process was like, straight from the mind of a killer. This three-part book includes Holmes' memoir and his confession of twenty-seven murders. People everywhere have divided themselves into men and women," says Harari, "and almost everywhere men have got the better deal, at least since the Agricultural Revolution." However, there has been a costly consequence for men's top-dog status. In his book, The Hazards of Being Male, psychologist Herb Goldberg says, "The male has paid a heavy price for his masculine 'privilege' and power. He is out of touch with his emotions and his body. He is playing by the rules of the male game plan and with lemming-like purpose he is destroying himself-emotionally, psychologically and physically." 12 Rules for Good Men is based on the new findings from evolutionary science demonstrating three important truths. First, there was an earlier time in human history where males and females enjoyed greater equality. Second, what we call "civilization" has improved our lives in some way but caused unrecognized harm to males, females, and the fragile planet we all share. Third, there are critical, biologically based, differences between males and females that need to be understood and respected if we are to end the battle of the sexes and co-create, in the words of Charles Eisenstein, "the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible." 12 Rules for Good Men is the first book to offer men new rules for success in the 21st century. It guides men to engage three questions we must all answer before we die: 1. Did I live fully? 2. Did I love deeply? 3. Did I make a positive difference in the world?

| Author: Jed Diamond

| Publisher: Waterside Productions

| Publication Date: Sep 20, 2019

| Number of Pages: 192 pages

| Language: English

| Binding: Paperback

| ISBN-10: 1941768903

| ISBN-13: 9781941768907

CRTICA DE LA RAZN IDIOTA: El idiota antiguo.
