Phillip Ringald, an engineering genius, works all over the world designing elite homes on top of mountains or even into the side of mountains. He has spent years building an excellent reputation and loyal following. He also spends time helping under developed villages build wells and irrigation systems for their crops. Along with his Dad he is also one of the conductors for a secret railroad designed to remove women and children from a violent home life. He is devastated to learn of the home invasion which takes his Dad's life and leaves his younger sister, Ashley, clinging to life. Even more amazing, she is calling for him ... not her fiance whom Phillip had despised. He must now put all projects on hold to return home. As his sister begins her long recovery he tries to distance himself from the railroad, only to get pulled back in for a desperate woman and child. His first inclination is to turn them away, but he finds he can't. If not for Ashley's superior security precautions and designs they would have been found within a few hours. As the siblings work together to secure the safety of the young mother and child, they begin to heal their own sibling relationship. Ashley's therapist becomes a calming force in their lives, working to heal both of them as they maneuver through the ups and downs of Ashley's recovery.
