A new doctor has been appointed to a village which had only quacks to cure people. Naturally, death and disease were rampant. But with the coming of the new doctor, there arose another problem, that being, the newly appointed doctor had his own peculiar method of curing patients. While the village people loved him, the head of the village and his coterie of people were hugely unsatisfied. Besides, the doctor came in the way of any development by way of health, initiated by the head of the village, because, for Athiko, the new doctor, all that the headman was trying to do was implement what he had not discussed with the people and what, eventually they would not be able to afford. The resistance created caused the headman to be furious leading to ultimate excommunication of the doctor from the village. But, there was a surprise waiting for him - the village people - children, seniors, refused to let Athiko go! A simple tale with lots to learn from and engage with.
