A Blockchain is simply a database that is distributed throughout many independent computers without a common processor. The data is stored in ordered record groupings call "Blocks". Each Block is connected like a chain to each other and the movement of data between the Blocks is recorded with a time stamp. Imagine a future Real Estate transaction on a Real Estate Blockchain: each sale is a Block with a timestamp containing the date and time when the record of the transaction asd created. The record cannot be changed and can be accessed and shared only by the Buyer and the Seller when one of them uses or shares his Private Key. The transaction database is secure by design.
