Profusion & Disorder

These poems were written from the age of seventy onwards after joining a writing group in retirement, mostly as weekly exercises. Members were encouraged to gain experience by writing from a range of viewpoints. If a man as a woman, for example, or as a dog lover, a recluse, or simply as a student of the human predicament. Other poems were written in response to a given title or rhyming pattern. Consequently these wide-ranging poems about love, life, sorrow, joy and politics are works of the poetic imagination rather than personal statements.
