Dragon Hill

12-year-old Keira waits eagerly for the return of Mother Dragon. She and her village have come to live peacefully near the great creature's nesting cave. This year, however, it does not feel like enough for Keira to simply watch the dragon fly overhead. She longs to be closer, and one day climbs up Dragon Hill-only to witness a sight that horrifies her. Keira resolves to take action, to make sure that Mother Dragon will not repeat the terrible deed that Keira saw her do. And yet, as she carries out her decisions, problems arise that Keira never anticipated. Were her decisions the right ones? Or did they make things worse than before?
