Chief Festival Of The Druids

John Hugh Roberts took part in many Druid ceremonies as a young boy and man. One such ceremony was the "Feast of the Red Swords" or the "Red Stars". It is moveable like Easter and aligned with the full moon. He tells the background story of the three brothers who were fishing Hea, Hoa and Hua and there appeared an immense number of fish and they were led to a cave which led to a river on the other side of the mountain and into a great open ocean. This was called New Azatlan and the feast he describes is still celebrated to this day in Fiji and is called The Feast of the Great of Balolo and in Britain at John Hugh Roberts time it was called Lampreys Feast.
