Visions III: Inside the Kuiper Belt looks at the ways humankind will explore from the Sun to the borders of the Solar System. Once the Inner and Outer Planets become part of our known and inhabited systems, Humans will venture outward and lay claim to all that lies within our System's boundaries.At the edge of our Solar System lies the doughnut-shaped ring of objects known as the Kuiper Belt. Each of those KBOs is smaller than Earth's Moon, including chunks of ice, asteroids, planetoids, and the dwarf planet Pluto. Scientific theory tells us that beyond the Kuiper Belt, the Oort Cloud surrounds the Solar System like a giant invisible snow globe. At nearly a million miles a day, NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft will reach the Oort Cloud in 300 years and will take about 30,000 years to exit the other side.
