Belonging & Belongings

Belonging & Belongings' is an international and interdisciplinar research programme led by Dr Geke van Dijk, Daijiro Mizuno, and Bas Raijmakers. Our research explores the relationships between technology, society, and sartorial appearances by investigating how people express their identities through physical and virtual possessions. From 2007 to 2011, we conducted a series of studies in Japan and the UK, generating a rich collection of images, films, notes, and magazines, from which we curated a selection to include in this book.
