The day that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldren walked on the Moon the author was arrested and jailed in Santa Monica California for wearing the American flag. The author was convicted on 3 counts, defacing and defiling, mutilation, and improper display of the flag of the United States and sentenced to 1 year of probation. The probation officer looked at the paperwork and tossed the author out of his office and told him to never come back. The law is still on the books.
