Starting Blocks was originally written each day as a text message to a downcast friend. It came as an answer to a prayer of what could be done to help this friend. Each morning in a time of study and meditation, the Lord met with me and gave me Scripture and understanding to share with my friend. Soon I was sending these messages to more and more friends until I reached one hundred twenty readers. After a year, I had many people urging me to publish a book. So with God's guidance I began down an unfamiliar road, but he was always by my side lending help when needed and moving me forward. This devotional book is really from him to you.
