Matters of Urgency Part 1 is a first book of Poems from the Author. It comes in a series of 4 books each containing about 10 quality poems on varying topical subjects and matters of interest for a wide variety of readers. Book 1 encapsulates the name in a first poem of that name. This is now the 3rd Edition and several corrections have been made. Most notable is the ending of the Poem 'Differences' which was missing 2 lines. The topics covered by each of the poems are varied and each have a different juxtaposition about angles of perception. Take for instance the poem 'Censors' which is very articulate, short and yet filled with ideas on the concepts and reasons for censorship. Also Spontaneous Emission, which is about the still; ever present although low level these days - threat of nuclear annihilaiton. Each are beautifully written, with a spice of humour in some of the poems the Author has played out.
