The seven pillars of wisdom in Proverbs 9:1?6 deal with preparing a meal. Seven Pillars of Wisdom ?1. Wisdom has selected a life to be slain. ?2. She has chosen the wine. ?3. Wisdom?s table has been furnished. ?4. Her servants announce from the highest places of the city: ?Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!? ?5. Her servants invite others to attend, including, ?Him who lacks understanding.? ?6. She commands: ?Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed.? ?7. Wisdom?s finale is: ?Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding.? These seven pillars have a vivid similarity to the Bible?s first account of Creation and the seven festivals of the Lord (the Jewish people?s seven annual festivals.
