Serotonin Deficiency is the story of Christopher Duncan, a narcissistic young man who imagines himself to be a great seducer of women. When Christopher meets Reanne, a largely unseducable woman, he is pushed down a dark path of obsession, frustration, and anger which culminates in his dropping out of college. A work of literary fiction, Serotonin Deficiency offers social critique on modern life at a large public university, and explores the absurdity of viewing love and subjective feeling through a purely scientific lens.
