This Beautiful Prairie

We are very honored and excited to bring the Historical Homes For The Holidays event to Schoolcraft. Owners of four of Schoolcraft's historic homes, two churches, and the Ladies Library will open their doors to allow you to step back in time to a different era. Schoolcraft became Kalamazoo County's first town on October 5, 1831 and was home to Kalamazoo County's first physician, Dr. Nathan Thomas. Many of the homes in this area have stayed true to their heritage, and this December you have the opportunity to see this up close. The packet for your self-paced tour will include your ticket, booklet, map, and booties to tour the homes. A light dinner will be available at the Schoolcraft Library, as well as sweets and coffee at the Schoolcraft Ladies' Library.
