For educators, whether they are the classroom teacher, substitute teacher, paraprofessional, SETTS teacher, ELL teacher, guidance counselor, social worker, behavior & achievement support, academic support, parent coordinator, office personnel, dean of any sort, nurse, recess aide, any interventionist, or the principal. We must always remember to look beyond the individual child who has already been labeled either mentally or factually. Don't forget the student that sits furthest back: he/she sees the bigger picture on the show that is displayed every day inside of the classroom. Life perspective is when you move your seat, you'll start seeing things differently. This is the case inside your classroom. If on any given day you don't feel like you're ripping your heart into many pieces to share your love, then you're not stretching all of you for them. There's someone in a seat that's missing out on what you can give them to carry into their future. Look beyond the NEED, and see beyond the surface.
