Successful Pathways For The Well-Being Of Black Students

A major objective of this book is to articulate a vision for the kind of educational environments where Black students can thrive. Insight gained from contributors to this edited volume will call attention to social, emotional, physical, and societal well-being by contributors of African ascent and others who are living and working within a supposedly post-Apartheid era; knowledge gained from this text will also offer effective strategies for the well-being of Black students regardless of their locale. By sharing their visions of success, lessons learned, and cautionary tales, educational leaders who contribute to this volume will illuminate steps forward in the incorporation of a holistic approach to well-being. It is our ultimate goal that this text will further discussions regarding how educational systems can be more proactive in supporting and creating educational environments that are conducive to success and thriving for Black students--
