The Role Of Educators As Agents And Conveyors For Positive Change In Global Education

This book is the product of a partnership amongst Sidi Mohammad Ben Abdellah University in Fes, Morocco, Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA, and the faculty of Educational Sciences, Tafila Technical University in At-Tafila, Jordan. On June 1st and 2nd, 2022, scholars from the three institutions, and more, came together for the 13th International Conference on Education at Sidi Mohammad Ben Abdellah University in Fes, Morocco to address the conference theme of Educators as Agents for Change." This conference occurred with the support of the US Department of Education, which speaks to the importance of relations between the US and colleagues in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). Scholars from a wide array of disciplines shared research that they contended has the potential to make a difference in their fields of study, and beyond. Readers of this book will greatly benefit from learning how faculty in higher education can embrace their role to have true impacts on the world. Conference participants are anticipated to submit their research in the form of chapters that have been tailored to the theme of "educators as agents for change" and the powerful impact of sharing this work internationally for global impact. It is imperative that all submissions to share this common thread. This book is designed to offer modern international perspectives on education that are based on global learning and teaching engagement. The main theme highlights the role of educators as agents and conveyors for positive change on a local, regional, and global arenas. As such, it analyzes various conventional and modern educational and learning theories and teaching pedagogies to promote global citizenship among students and teachers. Indeed, the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the necessity for establishing practical strategic global education collaboration throughout the world.
