I am a Maori, feminist, vegan, poet, mother, and student. I live with depression so I guess I can add mentally ill to the list. But I have found that labels disrupt the mind and destroy the heart if you believe too deeply that you are what you are called, so I try to simply be me. I don't bother talking often, I have almost perfected the resting bitch face, and my antisocial skills are on point. I write about my life experiences, my hopes, and dreams - also my nightmares. In this collection, I have brought together pieces I have written over the last three years. My observations, experiences, and feelings about being a vegan, being a woman, and being a female living on planet earth.
