It All Happens in Dorset: Fictional short stories all based in Dorset (Ladies in Beach Huts)

It All Happens in Dorset features 25 stories. They are set in different time periods from the present day, through wartime and even as far back as the early 1800s, and some are based on actual events. We have each written a beach-themed story because that is where we enjoy spending our time. We challenged each other to write a story including the words, child, pensive, mysterious, unpleasant discovery, deserted farm and red rose and we have listed them together so you can see the very different results. Another story had to end with the sentence 'Hello, my name is John'. Once again these stories are all very different and, in fact, this idea inspired the ten-year old granddaughter of one of our group, so on this theme there are five stories. Just for luck we have added a script we co-wrote for a radio play.
