Kashmir Shaivism and Modern Science

Kashmir Shaivism appeared in the 9th century in Kashmir which was at that time a small feudal kingdom. The maharajahs were the patrons of the various religions.There are several important schools of the Kashmir Shaivism, of which the most elevated belong to the Trika system. From the Trika point of view there is not the slightest difference between individual soul and lord Shiva, it is just a play, a drama of his own nature. The authors consider Kashmir Saivism the true philosophy of Tantrism. The authors are trying to justify the Tantric position from the rational point of view to demonstrate the soundness and significance of Kashmir Saivism with the modern science. Maya is cause of Creation; BRAHMAN is the nominal cause for creation. Vedanta says that Creator and Created are one and same.
