West From Al-Bireh : A Young Arab's Memoirs

In 1952 a young Arab boy at the age of 14 years old leaves Palestine to help the family survive and is sent to work and live in Colombia. Here he learns a new language and culture. He starts his first entrepreneurial adventure and soon wants more. He then ventures off to New York to live out the American dream that he had heard off so often back in old country. Here he finally meets up with his father and starts a new adventure of survival in this new world. He would fulfill his American dream, meet up with this family he left behind, have a family, fight in a war, and stand up as an American Arab during a turbulent time in the US.
