Birthdays At The Bay

Twelve year old Josh lives with his grandparents, as his Dad is in Waikeria Prison and his mother has gambling problems. Every year the family share their summer holidays with Josh's friend Max and his grandparents at Kennedy Bay, on the Coromandel Peninsula. Set in New Zealand during the 1990's this is a story which explores family loyalty through hard times, and friendship forged in childhood through connection to a place.
