Lily: A Screenplay

Lily is a wacky, hilarious and heartwarming tale about an Italian-American family navigating old-country-Italian ways in modern day Los Angeles. Lily, the daughter and protagonist, believes she has been cursed at birth by a Witch in Italy to punish her mother, Michela, who conceived out of wedlock and broke the family tradition of caring for her mother until death. Lily lives a life of hexed mayhem and longs for independence from her family's old-fashioned values. A little person nemesis, a Studio City psychic, over-protective brothers, a clueless father, a highly superstitious mother and a boy-band love interest provide lots of chaos and fun as Lily adventurously carves out her own path in life. Lily goes from a self-loathing disaster to a loyal friend all while breaking her mother's heart.
