We support an individual's right to autonomy in decision-making about their health based on the personal context of their lives, including but not limited to early pregnancy decision-making and gender affirmation. We believe that individuals have the right to high value, equitable, and unbiased care. In this third edition of Women's Healthcare in Advanced Practice Nursing, we attempt to make high value, equitable, and unbiased care more evident than in prior editions. While the number of women included in research studies is increasing, we remain limited in our ability to accurately address perspectives and needs for minoritized gender persons because of the lack of research that focuses on, includes, or even identifies transgender and non-binary persons. Throughout the book we have attempted to use inclusive language while remaining true to research findings, which are translated into evidence-based practice. In many instances, this means we use the terms woman, women, she, her, hers, because that reflects the data that are available. We purposefully use they, them, theirs, patient, person, etc., whenever possible--
