Blood Orange Soda

Darius is a vampire. He's a high school freshman on government-funded medication to keep his bloodlust from becoming a menace and is hoping to woo a girl and avoid a bully. When Darius' uncle, also a vampire, introduces him to Blood Orange Soda, a substance that will override his pills and allow him to maturate into a vampire, Darius sees only the benefits. Once a vampire, however, he finds he still has problems, ones that won't end after graduation.
