Chloe Marcus is a successful businesswoman enjoying her exciting City life when her world is suddenly turned upside down as she finds herself the executor of a relative's estate. Not only does Chloe find that she has a penniless estate with a large rambling house to deal with but also a broken down ex racehorse to find a new career for. Along with her meek P.A., Chloe also finds help in the form of an attractive young drifter called Steve who seems to have a talent with horses. As Chloe is drawn into the world of horse trials she finds that she also has to deal with unscrupulous yard owners and competitive people who will stop at nothing in the pursuit of success, not to mention their rather dubious sexual antics. Chloe is forced to confront her tragic past as she delves further into the estate. She also realises that there are secrets hidden within the house.
