Hubcap Collection Plate is the collected poems of backwoods modernist Jeffrey Dunn. In six parts, "Cup of Joe" is Dunn's long poem of personal innocence and American experience. "The Belfast Bodhisattva" imagines Saint Patrick reborn as Buddhist Belfast Patrick and traveling to Spokane, WA, U.S.A. As deep as geologic and human history, "No Name Lake Coronach" is Dunn's lament for his eldest son's loss. "Bad Translations of Max Jacob" are just that. "When Hooker Books" is a collection of poems of love, and "Blake's Meatloaf" is a collection of literary homages to Blake, Baudelaire, Picasso, Baudelaire, O'Keeffe, Patti Smith, among others.
