When there's no light at the end of the tunnel.The main character, an unnamed guy, has played his role for almost 50 years. He believes there is no other choice, but the route his folks set out for him many years before. He never objects, and yes ... he is satisfied with his existence. Something changes, of course. But if you expect a trite story of a midlife crisis and an outburst of love for a young woman, this ain't the case. The man discovers that fictional stories can be more than mere entertainment or a way of killing time. He finds that one inconspicuous teenage TV show can implode his world, leading him into unknown and dangerous territory, where all the existing cornerstones of his life become shaky. Including questions of whether it's worth living and why "the big scary S-word" - suicide - has such a bad reputation. This is a weird and pretty dark ride, but if you binge on Netflix shows from time to time, you may discover a few exciting tips along the line.And if you doubt that this could ever happen - this is "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth".
