Eight months' preparation for D-Day in Inverness culminates in Brenda being driven all along the south coast of England from Portsmouth to Dover delivering the final sealed instructions to commanders taking part in the Invasion of Normandy. Stationed in Caserta, near Naples, Brenda was shown round Venice by one of the real Monuments' Men. At the end of the War, Brenda takes her first flight - from Naples to Malta for her last posting.
