Sunny Worel shares her 28-month stage 4 colon cancer saga posthumously through this compilation of her CaringBridge entries supplemented by selected Facebook postings. The book is presented in a timeline format which begins on her date of diagnosis and extends until a few weeks before her death. Her posts about appointments, hospitalizations, surgeries and treatments are brutally honest, brimming with outrage while also showing her rare sense of humor and wit. After Sunny exhausted all traditional chemotherapy options and underwent three surgeries, she traveled from coast to coast pursuing various clinical trials to slow down "the beast". Despite her valiant efforts, she died from the cancer on July 1, 2014. Janet V. Worel, her mother, is publishing this book on her behalf, but all the words are "The Words of the Warrior". It is hoped that this book may be helpful to others with a cancer diagnosis as well as to prevent this disease in others through early cancer screening.
