Conquering Life As A Voluptuous Grande

Voluptuous grande is a euphemism for the dreaded term 'fat'. We seek to explore contemporary women's experiences through our own voices and stories. We do not intend to typify them as a conformist one-size-fits-all model nor specific set of advice, but rather offer our insights based on experience, anecdotal evidence, and expertise as a human development expert and a doctor of education. We also seek to make you laugh out loud til' you cry, relating our experiences to yours. We need to help empower each other. This is where conquering life comes in. To conquer means to overcome. As far as we know, you only get one life, so you need to make the most of it, love yourself, and live in the present for each moment that we have. It can be difficult to fully embrace oneself as a voluptuous grande in this sizeist society. We hope that by sharing our stories, we can relate to and empower one another to live our best lives and inspire one another to a better future.
