Horses At Auschwitz

Peter is eleven when his homeland of Poland is invaded by the Nazis. He is fifteen when he is taken to Auschwitz as a political prisoner. Assigned to care for a stable of work horses, he witnesses unspeakable brutality and suffering in a place where human life has no value. As he tries to survive the camp and the war, he finds kindness in his fellow prisoners and courage within himself to resist the madness and murder of the Third Reich.
