Ryan In China: A Cautionary Tale

In October 2016 Ryan saw notices around his university in Christchurch New Zealand seeking volunteers to teach English overseas. He chose China. The project was to last six weeks from mid-January 2017, with a little free time included. He applied and was accepted. This is the story of Ryan's time in China, which unfolded rather differently to his expectations. Each episode was written as an email to family back in New Zealand.
