This book dives deeper into my high-risk pregnancy journey and frightful delivery. I discuss my process for dissolving my fibroid tumors enough to avoid a forecasted hysterectomy and explore how my relationship with my body shifted after having my baby girl. Having fibroid tumors does not automatically mean you can't get pregnant and/or have a healthy and successful pregnancy. My story is proof of this. I was 41 years old when I became pregnant with my daughter. I discovered that I had a grapefruit sized fibroid tumor at the base of my uterus on my first visit to the doctor to confirm my pregnancy. The doctors were amazed that I was even pregnant given the size and location of my fibroids.
