Chad Everyman is a tough-minded Vice President of sales at Thomas F. Wayward, a major company in the spirits and wine business. Chad was doing extremely well and thought he had a sweet job for life. With little notice, Wayward gets sold by its owners to an international conglomerate. After a brief and difficult stint at the new company, he decides (?) to join a startup liquor firm and "get rich quick." He and his partners struggle through a gauntlet of successes and failures, almost going under several times, until in the end, Chad finally realizes what true wealth really is.
