As the gunman strode past Marie, assured the techs had deactivated her, Marie whipped a hand out and snatched his gun from its holster. "Hey!" He tried to slap the gun away but Marie moved it just enough that his hand whiffed empty air. Marie thrust the gun into the man's crotch and hissed, "It appears they can't turn me off! Care to see what else I can't do?"Sneering, the gunman said "You can't hurt humans."Marie lowered the barrel fractionally and squeezed the trigger. The bullet missed vital parts of the gunman's anatomy, but the concussion was as effective as a kick to the groin. He jerked in surprise, and then collapsed to the floor, writhing in agony.Marie turned to face the company tech, the still-smoking pistol rising in threat. "You tried to deactivate me, so you could dissect me?"
