The story begins with Blake Harris' team on their way to the paradise island of Roatán, Honduras, for a well-earned vacation after their successes recounted in BODY COUNT: Killers, the first novel in the series. The island may provide a backdrop of mountain jungles and the clear, warm waters of the Caribbean Sea, but, as with most paradises, Roatán also has a snake, and Blake sees the pattern of a serial killer.
