The Malvern Hills run from the south of the county on into Herefordshire, they are made up mostly of volcanic igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks. The Worcestershire Beacon is the highest point in the county at 425 metres. Then the rest of the county is undulating hills and farmland which stretches either side of the Severn Valley.
