Emptying the Soul, Working Through Resistance to Your Core, is about the process I went through of getting clear to the core. The 'core' is that part of us that is real, raw and honest. It's the part we are afraid to share with others, but it is also the part of us that has become lost under layers of survival gear. We have layered ourselves up with protection against the world that we fear rejection, trauma and abuse from. We desire to be loved and yet in so many ways, we hide from that true connection with other human beings, in the name of protecting our core from pain and suffering. Our 'core' has to do with who we truly are at the center of our being. Our personality before it became cluttered with often times dysfunctional behaviors in reaction to life experiences.
