Dead Mom Disease is the memoir of a girl who wants to tell the world the truth. It's the story of a teenager who watched her mother die and wants to share her experience. Part of this desire stems from anger because, let's not fool ourselves here - it's one of the five stages of death for a reason. You can only be surrounded by idiots who think that saying sorry and telling you what your dead mom would want for so long before you want to punch one of them in the face. But, the other part of the desire comes from genuine concern. Death, especially the death of a mother, is hard to deal with. There is no manual, no algorithm available to tell you how to do it. But, there are people who have went through very similar experiences, and, sometimes, it helps to just hear their story - to know that someone else has felt as shitty as you do.
