A collection of five short stories, set in New Orleans, which give a glimpse into the lives of Black children born in the 1990s. These stories show the confusion that exists in the African American community due to Racism, the school to prison pipeline, and failed integration. Also included are two essays. One on the recent popularity of DNA tests, and how these tests further confuse an already confused group of African descendants. The other essay chronicles how Black music has been whitewashed throughout history.
