The sole survivor of a shipwreck, Professor Eff Ceffsky awakes in a strange land. Taken in by the local natives, he learns about their culture and records his observations and insights in journals. When he is shown the boundary thesuperstitious tribe will not cross, his curiosity piqued, and he ventures into the unknown. Ceffsky discovers an enormous monolith and the remains of an advanced, ancient civilization.
