Through the exploration of themes such as beauty, religion, science, sexuality, time, conquest, youth, Old World values, morality, and government corruption, the author set out on a journey of deep reflection and self-discovery in order to save what was left of his soul after experiencing much heartache and wickedness in his search for love. For we have only to grow from the wreckage of our dark past, and--through compassion and wisdom--to ultimately ascend.
