Happy Birthday, Ivy! (Class Of 2018)

It's so beautiful. I smile, taking in the sky's glorious beauty. "It sure is." Dad smiles, thought-fully. "Thank you, God, for this glorious day." "Amen." Mom and I reply, big smiles on our faces. Two days ago, I had requested to my parents that we do something special before all of the birthday festivities begin today. For my birthday request, I had said that I wanted the three of us to go early morning surfing, and watch the sunrise. After I had requested this to them, Mom and Dad had smiled and had agreed to my request. As my parents and I sit on our surf boards together and watch the sunrise, I cannot help but feel happy, relaxed, and content. Going surfing and watching the sunrise with my wonderful parents is truly a special and wonderful way to start off my eighteenth birthday.
