Children of Oba: Fictional Musings and other Tales

An ancient pearl, a missing kinara, mystical powers, talking animals and lost parents all converge in Children of Oba to create a magical potion of eight phenomenal adventures. This compilation was created by young authors in the Writing on the Walls! Creative Writing Workshop. Writing on the Walls! is an innovative creative writing program designed to inspire a passion for literary artistry by introducing children to various aspects of writing. The goal is to demystify the process, help children develop a positive relationship with writing and make it fun. Participants spend eight weeks on a creative journey through several writing techniques to become more confident and effective communicators. For Children of Oba, the students worked diligently to create amazing short stories and illustrations for publication in less than two months.
